The Fire Service has become more challenging and the demand for knowledge by firefighters has steadily increased over the years.  Ongoing training of our staff and volunteers is vital in maintaining and improving the level of service we provide to the community.

The initial training for a Firefighter is almost 300 hours.  A Firefighter will complete 96 hours of refresher training annually.

The initial training for Water Tender Operators is more than 60 hours.  A Water Tender Operator will complete 36 hours of training annually.
